Am gonna date myself a bit here but "Wayne's World" came out when I was a freshman in college. For the next year had to listen to people quote endlessly from that movie. A line that when it occurs in context in the film might very well be funny/clever/catchy, but when repeated ad nauseum by the 20 and under set, well it is rendered comically impotent. I never got the point of continually throwing around "Schwing!" and "Not" as it does not tell the listener that you are witty or clever but rather simply that you have indeed seen and enjoyed a movie that like 80 million+ people have also seen & enjoyed. Am not wild upon having entered my 30s but one of the benefits is that the lame mvoie line banter is really more prevelant with the younger crowd so you don't have to suffer through it as much. But somehow 2 movies "Old School" and "Napoleon Dynamite' seem to have crossed the age threshold & so the phrases "Flippin' sweet" and "Put your earmuffs on" are firmly in the vernacular. I know I sound like a terrible curmudgeon about this but it really gets on my nerves.
